ELEGANT
Upon purchasing a new home, the owner found the powder room to be too ordinary for her liking.

Simple changes were made to enhance the bath and turn it into the elegant powder room she now enjoys.

First the oak base cabinet was exchanged for a freestanding bath cabinet stained in a medium color with integral marble counter and sink. New brushed gold fixtures add to the elegance as does the new oval mirror above the base. Wall sconces replaced the old, ordinary fixtures. The walls were finished in a Venetian gold faux to add color with metallic accents to enhance the fixtures.

This little powder room was ordinary but now is a very special room for guests.

FLY FISHING
The owners wanted to create a bath that would bring their guests into a space depicting their love of the outdoors.

Our Designers dressed the bead board paneling with a watermark paint finish, added "fish motif" wallpaper topped with a border on the plain walls, replaced the inadequate lighting, added a larger mirror, dressed the windows with wooden blinds over which teardrop valances on large wooden rods and hand painted fish and acorn finials hung. The sink skirt covered piping underneath and twig furniture with custom dried floral arrangements were added. The shower curtain was custom fabricated in a nubbly cotton and fish net hung over the area in a random pattern. A Fiddlehead Mirror handcrafted of iron along with other special adornments were added to complete the room.

The owners were well pleased calling it their "favorite room".

On the lower level of a large lake home, the owner desired to bring the outdoors into the bath in an unusual way.

An artist was commissioned to create a wilderness scene. The artist chose to draw a scene of the woods with a full size moose on the facing wall. The remaining walls were painted to look like horizontal wood planks on a cabin wall. Even the door to the small corner linen closet was painted to resemble planked walls.

The accessories used in this bath were those with tree trunks for soap dishes, and guest towels wrapped with bark. This bath was enjoyed by
                                all who entered.
